I, for one, am very passionate about this subject. It is a societal taboo and I do not believe that there is a need or a reason for it to be as it is a very serious matter that should be acknowledged. People need to understand that this can happen to anybody - young or old, black or white, rich or poor, gay or straight, female or male. Society needs to understand that this does happen to men, that men and boys do get raped and passing jugdement on these men solves nothing and only adds to theirs pain. Most boys or men who were raped tend to feel guilty and they often blame themselves. They ask themselves the same questions society often asks, How could I allow this to happen to me?, How could I him/them rape me?, I had an erection, does this means I enjoyed it ?, How can I defend my love ones when I could not defend myself ?, Does this means I am gay? And there are a lot of other questions that they asks themselves. These men did nothing wrong though, RAPE is not about sex or sexualit...
The title of this blog is pretty self explanatory. I write about things as I see and believe them to be. I hope this blog can be useful to individuals and if I have offended anyone I apologise but I am sticking by my views as eveybody is entitled to their own.
